Just entering the world of horses? Or maybe this isn’t your first rodeo. We have lessons and training available for Star Valley and Jackson locals for all levels of riders and horses. From western basics to English basics, reining to dressage, or all around ranch riding - we cater to many disciplines and levels of riding.
We love to teach kids and share our love of horses with them. We are a family-friendly barn and we will not only teach your child how to ride in a safe and fun atmosphere, but also teach them how to safely handle horses, tack up horses and care for them.
For kiddos we offer lead line lessons on our wonderful ponies and mini donkeys from age 2-5. We offer private lessons for ages 6-7 on a lunge line. If your child is comfortable and is ready we allow them to ride off the lead when they are ready. Ages 8-12 can join our group lessons based on an evaluation.
For adults, we welcome any age and any level. The weight limit is 200 lbs.
Looking to ride with us on a regular weekly basis?
Purchase a monthly membership for recurring weekly lessons to receive a discounted rate. You will receive a code and then you may book your four lessons with the trainer of your choice. The membership will renew every four weeks. If you would like to ride multiple times per week, you may book additional monthly subscriptions to receive the discounted rate.

After SChool Kids Classes
We are partnering with local schools such as the Wyoming Classical Academy to offer an after school riding program. We also love to support homeschool families in the community. Students enrolled in our program not only learn how to ride, but also learn valuable leadership and communication skills. Our students learn the value of hard work in order to play hard. They learn how to respect large animals and how to properly care for them. Safety, leading with calm courage, and building grit is what our program is all about. We have a lot of fun too!
We offer classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:30-4:30 for 5-7 year olds. The kids rotate between riding our sweet ponies and coordination and balance play activities.
We also offer classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-5:30 for 7-10 year olds. Each student will have their own horse to ride. If your child is new to horseback riding, please book an Introduction to Skyhawk lesson prior to the group class to ensure your child is comfortable and safe off of the lead line.
Students must enroll in our weekly program and can choose to ride in our Tuesday or Thursday class. If your child would like to ride with us on Tuesdays and Thursdays, please select both subscriptions. The subscription automatically renews every four weeks. You will receive an email reminder 7 days before the automatic renewal. No refunds will be issued after the credit card has been issued.
